This conclusion, in particular, made by scientists from the canadian McMaster University, which gathered and analyzed the results of the study with the participation of 218 thousand people, living in 50 countries.

Previously it was repeatedly reported that a high fat meal, popular in Europe and North America, responsible for heart disease. But the results of recent studies leads rather to the opposite conclusion: not that saturated fats are harmful to health as was previously thought.

For volunteers watched for 25 years, carefully recording their diet, as well as all cases of heart attacks, strokes, and age at time of death. Analysis of the data led to the conclusion that high-quality menu that includes unprocessed products of animal and vegetable origin, do not increase, and reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Moreover, such a diet decreases the likelihood of premature death, for whatever reasons, she came. At the same time, experts emphasize: this information relates only to unprocessed red meat, while the consumption of sausages and bacon is unhealthy.
