Boys are inferior to girls in terms of reading and writing. To this unexpected conclusion was made by Australian researchers.
Disputes about who is smarter – boys or girls, are long overdue. It seems that the number of male scientists with a world name evidence in favor of what representatives of the stronger sex are more intellectually developed, but there is increasing evidence that some of the skills girls are better expressed. In particular, researchers from Australia studied almost 4 million American children, came to the conclusion that girls outperform boys in the key for each student the skills like reading and writing.
The researchers found that gender differences in regard to reading, manifested at a very early age and subsequently constantly increasing. A significantly larger number of girls demonstrated excellent skills in reading than boys. The authors of this study noted that most previous works of scientists on this topic concerned the ability to read, but it’s not touched on skills in the letter. But the ability to write is particularly important because it is a key for high school students wishing to continue their education in universities. Many boys have good skills in reading, but rather mediocre in the letter.
Such impressive differences between males and females surprised the authors of the study. They found that over time, these differences are smoothed out. So if the boys from an early age will pay more attention to the letter, but in this case they will be able to approach the performance of girls. (READ MORE)
