A 68-year-old man from Missouri in the USA has captured with his deceased cat, an almost deadly disease.
Two days after the death of his cat, the 68-Year-old bubble-like ulcers developed on the neck and went to the doctor. This diagnosed him glandular fever – an often fatal disease.
The disease is transmitted from animals. Either by eating infected animals or contact with the skin. In the case of the non-identified man was he infected himself by Cuddling with his cat. The New England Journal of Medicine reported.
The man survived the disease after he was treated for a month with antibiotics. In Germany, the disease is very rare: in 2017 have just been demonstrated once in 47 cases.
