The desire to live in the here and now
I often use the phrase: to Live here and now, and agree on something that three years ago just would not agree. And all because I have cancer, and he taught me to live today. No matter how much time we have, none of us are eternal, so we must live in the here and now.
My name is Olya Gardega, and already more than 2 years, I am a continuous struggle with Negotinska lymphoma. I learned about the diagnosis in 25 years, when it was not ready to hear that kind of worked, lived like most without worrying about anything but work and lack of free time. Anyway, the word cancer seemed to be something distant and unknown, I only saw that in movies people with this diagnosis, was vomiting and hair falling out.
About the changes
I went through a period of hair loss three times and, frankly, didn’t even cry about it. Of course, I felt strange, but accepted it as an experiment with hair, katarynka would have dared before. It calmed me. I was different: swollen, bald, and not very nice unfortunately, many judge by appearances, and don’t even know that I’m not just shaved off my hair and am challenging (physically and mentally) the fight against the deadly disease.

About treatment
I’ve dealt with 29 chemotherapy treatments, but the end is not yet. I am now undergoing radiotherapy, while a year ago I said I was hoping only for a miracle. I confidently go to his goal, despite the fact that I am a weak girl, who at 27 is behaving like a seventeen year old. I think it is better to smile to the world and get a smile in return, than to be angry and wonder Why me?. The only question that I ask myself, why?. I’m sure that one day I will find the answer. In the meantime, I plan to complete radiation therapy in Kiev and fly to China for immunotherapy and clinical study, which may give me a chance at life, as my tumor not only to chemistry, but also began to increase. Everyone was so sincere, and so I felt a thirst for life!

About treatment
Since February of 2018 I completed 16 rounds of chemotherapy. In August, underwent surgery, but there is another important phase of treatment of 8 Oct I’m starting radiation therapy. About the disease
I am 36 years old, I am a mother of two children. In 2012 I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
