If patients with diabetes of the second type are taking medication to lower blood pressure, they are more than twice the risk of amputations of limbs. Receiving diuretics or medicines for withdrawal of body fluids increases the risk of various problems with feet and legs, as the study showed. French scientists have found that 13% of regular users of diuretics, suffering from diabetes, subsequently having serious problems with their feet. However, if patients with diabetes do not use diuretics, then the probability to face these problems is 7%.
