A resident of Turkey went through several grueling courses of chemotherapy and only subsequently learned that the prescribed treatment was totally unnecessary – he didn’t have cancer, just a cold. This case was reported by Hurriyet Daily News.
In 2015 a man named Yilmaz Kiziloglu went to the doctors with complaints of long standing fever and weakness. The Turks called for is not a provincial and ill-equipped hospital – it took specialists of the clinic at Ataturk University in Erzurum. The staff of this medical facility and diagnosed him with cancer. The patient heard from the doctors that he has lymphoma.
In the next three years Kiziloglu persistently treated from cancer, he four times was undergoing chemotherapy. At some point the brother of the man suspected that the doctors of the University clinic gave him the wrong diagnosis. He persuaded Kiziloglu initially skeptical took his idea to undergo additional screening in Ankara. Yilmaz Kiziloglu intends to sue the hospital where he was diagnosed with cancer.
“My life turned into hell. I lost all strength and hair for me unnecessary chemotherapy,” he said.
