Jenni “JWoww” Farley celebrated her son Greyson’s 3rd birthday on Sunday, May 5, and couldn’t help but get emotional as she reflected on everything the mom and son have been through in the past few years.
“When you were first born, you needed to stay in the hospital a few extra days … I got to stay with you and spend Mother’s Day by your side. The perfect son from day one, so delicate and sweet,” the Jersey Shore star, 33, wrote alongside a photo of Greyson as a newborn hooked up to multiple tubes in the hospital followed by a series of sweet pics of him. “I cant even picture life before you because you and your sister complete me.”
Farley noted that the little one “slept on my chest until you were a year old because it was the only way I could calm your chronic cough … yet, I needed that more than you needed me because hearing your breath every night calmed me.”
On a happier note, Farley joked that she now wakes up with Greyson’s “arm across my face or your butt on my head” but she “wouldn’t have it any other way.”
With a nod to Greyson’s autism diagnosis, Farley gushed over how far he’s come in the past 365 days. “Today you turn 3. This past year flew by so fast. I had you start early intervention 2 days after your second birthday,” she wrote. “You didn’t know your name, you didn’t know how to say mommy… as you turn three, you know countless words, call me mommy 10394 times a day and your smile has grown 10x. To my perfect son, happy birthday… I’ll continue to hold you every night until my last breath.”
Earlier this year, Farley opened up to Us Weekly about Greyson’s developmental disorder, and revealed he’s been making strides thanks to therapy. “He’s doing amazing,” the reality star told Us. “He has the best therapists. He’s in four or five different therapies, but he is just kicking ass. Every day gets better. Every day he’s learning something new.”
The MTV personality shares Greyson and daughter, Meilani, 4, with estranged husband Roger Mathews, whom she split with in September 2018. Farley has since moved on with boyfriend Zack Clayton Carpinello.
