Nashville alum Hayden Panettiere and her ex-fiancé, pro boxer Wladimir Klitschko, split in August 2018 — but no worries: They’re coparenting daughter Kaya, age 4, just fine, according to the actor and singer.
Panettiere talked to Us Weekly on Jan. 31 at the Sharkwater Extinction film premiere to say that she and Klitschko “get along” and that coparenting is “going well.”
The pair were linked romantically for ten years. Before that, Panettiere was linked to Heroes costar and star of This Is Us Milo Ventimiglia.
Panettiere attended the Sharkwater Extinction premiere with her current beau, Brian Hickerson.
“We’re still respectful of each other, and we still have that friendship with each other,” she said of Klitschko. “It’s not a situation that you find yourself in all that often, so it’s a new one. But I think we’ve done a really good job.”
Panettiere sought help for severe postpartum depression within a year of Kaya’s birth, and once again in May of 2016. She’s spoken openly on social media about her struggle, once tweeting, “The postpartum depression I have been experiencing has impacted every aspect of my life. Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms I have chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life. Wish me luck!”
