However, another study in 2015 with the participation of post-menopausal women aged 50 to 66 years have shown that 12 weeks of Pilates has not led to any changes in body weight.

The authors of the study believe that women in this time didn’t lose weight for the reason that they do not adhere to strict diets. Finally, another study of 2015 has shown that Pilates is effective for chronic pain in the lower back.
