A woman says tanning her butthole has has a positive affect on her “sexual energy”.
Influencer Metaphysical Meagan claimed that “Perineum Sunning” also helps to get “creativity flowing” and aids sleep.
The self-described “healer” demonstrated how she gets sun where it usually doesn’t shine.
In a Instagram post, she is seen lying on her back with her bum cheeks spread towards the sky.
And while her claims aren’t backed by medical studies or experts, her ritual has left many in stitches.

Meagan elaborated more on the regime on social media.
She captioned her Instagram image: “For the past few weeks I have included sunning my bum and yoni into my daily rising routine.
“Many of you have been asking about the benefits of this practice: 30 seconds of sunlight on your butthole is the equivalent of a full day of sunlight with your clothes on…
“Things I’ve noticed personally in my reality since I’ve implemented this:
“Surges of energy almost immediately, better sleep, better connection to my sexual energy and control of my life force, so much creativity flowing through my life, attracting my desires and intentions with ease, attracting soul tribe and people who are on the same frequency and wavelength as me.
“I’m spending a maximum of five minutes in the morning doing this.”
Meagan’s Instagram post has racked up 849 likes.
But while some fellow Perineum Sunning fans were supportive of the content, others were completely baffled by it.
One commenter remarked: “What the actual f***.”
Another said: “Oh thank you for giving me a sick pack from laughing so hard.”
A third added: “I live in an apartment. I can just imagine the look on my neighbours’ faces when they walk outside to find my sunning myself in the middle of the parking lot… in December.”

The viral post has also sparked response from medical professionals – many of which have said there’s no benefit to basking your bum in sunlight.
Dr Hay told Whimn: “There is absolutely nothing that this woman is doing in 30 seconds that has any affect on her libido, sleep, creativity or focus.
“Yes, taking some time for mindfulness and meditation can assist with all of those things but there’s no magical benefit from getting naked, holding your toes and pointing your a*se to the sun.”
