Psychologists have established, what types of personalities don’t completely distance myself from past relationships and watching their former partners in social networks. Such behavior is likely not confident that they are worthy of love, says in an article published in the journal BMC Psychology.
The study of this problem was done by experts of the National University of Ireland, which carried out the survey of 717 people. Analysis of the data showed that insecure and in relationships people tend to use social networks as a means of complacency. In particular, they try to leave information that would create more positive images about them and their lives. These same people were prone to constant surveillance of their partnerline the Internet.
“Such behavior is typical of people with low self-esteem, as well as those who experience high levels of psychological stress, including anxiety and depression. They use Facebook to fill their need for emotional attachment”, – stated the specialists.
In addition to the psychological profile of such users, the scientists added that they are prone to comparing themselves with others whom they always see in a more advantageous position. Also, these types of personalities tend under the influence of emotions is sharing his account with too much personal information, said the experts.
