How to lower blood pressure without medication for a short period of time

People with high blood pressure who are taking pills with doctor’s prescription, is able to normalize it over a fairly short period of time, – to such conclusion as a result of his research made by scientists from the University of North Carolina (USA). Their experiment showed that to improve blood pressure in the observance of necessary conditions for 16 weeks.

The most effective prevention of cardiovascular diseases is the adherence to the key principles of a healthy lifestyle – proper diet and combined with physical load. This formula was the result of a series of experiments involving 129 people aged 40 to 80 years, suffering from obesity and arterial hypertension, half of whom took medicines from high blood pressure.

The volunteers were divided into three groups. In the first group of participants was supposed to change for the better not only your diet but also physical activity. These volunteers, in particular, reduced consumption of red meat, salt and carbohydrates, and also started to eat more vegetables, fruits and low-fat dairy products, and began to regularly exercise. In the second group the changes affected only the diet, in third, participants continued their usual lifestyle.
Medication in the period of the experiment the participants were not used.

The result of these experiments was the following. In the group where people have adjusted their diet and amount of physical activity after 16 weeks was observed not only successful weight loss but also reduction of pressure in average by 10-16 points. Secondly, the volunteers have also made positive progress, but not as significant as in the third group there were no changes at all.
