Words of wisdom! Katherine Schwarzenegger has always looked to her mother, Maria Shriver, for guidance.
“My mom always offers me a huge amount of advice with everything that I do,” the “The Dog That Changed Me” sponsored by PEDIGREE podcast host, 29, told Us Weekly exclusively on Tuesday, May 14. “Both of my parents are really, really amazing with that,” she added, shouting out Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The Rock What You’ve Got author went on to say, “I feel really lucky that with whatever books I do, or book tour that I go on, or a podcast or interview, they’ve always been really supportive of me and making sure that I’m really prepared and that I feel comfortable and confident in whatever I’m talking about. … So that helps a lot.”
In terms of her podcast specifically, Katherine has looked to Shriver, who she watched “have conversations with people she knows really well to people that are complete strangers” growing up. The journalist now hosts has a podcast, “Meaningful Conversations,” and Chris Pratt’s fiancée learned from her before launching her own.
She looked up to her fiancé’s ex-wife, Anna Faris, as well! “[Anna] has an incredibly successful podcast [‘Unqualified’]. I really admire all the work that she’s done, and she’s definitely an expert at it,” the California native told Us. “Learning from her is another huge gift. I have such great people in my life that I’m able to learn from in all different areas of life and, and she’s definitely somebody that I look up to in the podcast world.”
The Guardians of the Galaxy actor, 39, and the Mom star, 42, split in August 2017. They share 6-year-old son Jack. Pratt and Katherine started seeing each other in the summer of 2018, and he got down on one knee in January.
