Singapore researchers were able to develop a “cocktail” of specific enzymes and drugs that can slow aging. According to Science Alert, using this drug for the first time biologists were able to extend the life of the body two times.
The authors of the project, scientists from the National University of Singapore, came to the conclusion that the use of anti-aging substances can be very effective when integrated application. In particular, such a rejuvenating and life-prolonging drug complexes they suggested to create on the basis rapamycin, an immunosuppressant used to combat the rejection of organs during transplantation.
“Research on worms helped to find out that rapamycin is an katalizatorom reactions of anti – aging drugs,” the researchers reported.
Experts have experimented by combining rapamycin with beta-blockers, Metformin and allantoin. As a result, they were able to establish that the use of all these drugs in a “cocktail” twice accelerate regeneration of skin cells – this effect was not previously given neither drug.
Now on the basis of these results, scientists are working to develop a drug that would prolong human life.
Earlier Magicforum wrote about the fact that scientists were able to develop a technique which allows to accurately determine the future duration of human life.
