Most loved ones encourage the kids in their lives to follow their passions. But Gisele Bündchen’s friends are shamelessly discouraging the model’s daughter from continuing with her favorite sport. And it’s kind of understandable. Her 10-year-old daughter Vivi — who she shares with ex-husband Tom Brady — is one of the many kids of celebrities who are obsessed with horseback riding.
“She’s like, ‘Mom, I’m going to be a professional horseback rider.’ That’s all she wants to do,” Bündchen told People.
She joked with the outlet, saying that her friends are telling her to get as far as she can from the expensive sport. “When I was getting into it, people were like, ‘Gisele, get out while you can.’ I was like, ‘I don’t think I can get out. She’s obsessed.’”
And so instead of guarding her wallet, Bündchen recently purchased a horse farm for Vivi (No. Big. Deal.). This way, her daughter can ride in privacy. Right now, the model says they will only have one horse, but she might have a hard time saying no to the little girl, just like Brady did.
“Now she’s already trying to get other horses,” Bündchen said. “Like, ‘Mom. They told me I have to have a new horse to jump higher.’ I’m like, ‘You’re 10, calm down.’”
“But she’s so courageous,” the proud mom said.

Bündchen is also mom to Benny, 13, and step-mom to Brady’s son Jack, 16, who the twice-retired quarterback shares with ex Bridget Moynahan.
In the interview, Bündchen talked about Benny’s passions (which her friends are seemingly OK with).
“I noticed that he loves music,” she said. “I put a piano in the living room, so anytime he passes by, it’s there. And now, because I’m living in this 1,500-square-foot house, it’s amazing because literally, it’s right there. He literally passes all the time to it, and every time he passes, he sits and he plays.”
Her young teen won’t be passing it as much during the weekdays. The cookbook author (Nourish is available for pre-order) just enrolled Benny and Vivi in school after homeschooling them since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“They’re getting to know friends in school. They like it. It’s just all new. But they’re really liking it and they’re getting into their things,” she said. Along with horse jumping and playing the piano, her kids have joined the swim team and football team respectively. And yes, Benny wears his dad’s jersey number (12) even though his dad isn’t the player he looks up to the most.
“I just feel so proud of them,” she said of her kids. “They’re so loving. They’re growing up to be just so thoughtful and considerate of others.”
