It is proved that before important decisions need to sleep

Received another proof of the fact that taking a NAP really works. 90 minutes of sleep from my person much better weighing the pros and cons when making important decisions.

We have long heard the advice that some serious problems need to “sleep”. And now scientists from the University of Bristol have proved that this ancient folk wisdom is based on scientific facts. Through experimentation, the theory that sleep helps to make more informed decisions, was convincingly confirmed. The researchers assessed changes in the brain and speed of response of 16 people before and after the shortest NAP. The results of the experiment suggest that small dream gives a much better weigh the pros and cons when making very important decisions.

The study authors call the results obtained are impressive and very important. The volunteers were from 20 to 91 years, they were connected to the EEG to measure electrical activity of the brain. All were asked to perform two tasks that require work of the mind. While at first the volunteers had to pass through these trials in the state of wakefulness, and then they were given the opportunity to pre-sleep about 90 minutes, after which they again proceeded to the solution of problems.

In the second case the reaction rate was much higher and this was observed only when performing the first task, which demanded more mental work. Note that science has long known about the consolidation of memories during sleep. Now obtained evidence that is acquired during wakefulness, the information may be subjected to more thorough and efficient processing during sleep. (READ MORE)
