At University College Dublin have found a product, which product helps to combat high cholesterol in the blood.
According to experts, a daily intake of 120 grams of cheese with a high content of milk fat leads to a decrease in “bad” cholesterol.
Experts have been working with the data of 164 volunteers with overweight at the age of 50 years and older. In the study, 46 participants ate 120 grams of the real (greasy) Irish cheese every day for six weeks, 45 also used an Irish cheddar with low fat and 21 grams of oil per day. The other participants in the project used both, but was limited in the milk to 56 grams per day.
The study found that there are no sugar spikes and weight gain among subjects using both types of cheese have been reported.
