Consumption of fatty cheese, yoghurt and butter can reduce the risk of developing type II diabetes. To such a surprising conclusion reached by scientists from the University of Cambridge.
British researchers found that cheese and some other fatty foods reduce the risk of diabetes of the second type. If people actively consume dairy products food with high fat content like cheese, cream, butter and yogurt, diabetes threatens him less than those who of these products do not consume. The findings of this study are particularly important given that in recent years, scientific and pseudo-scientific literature there is extensive campaign against the consumption of fatty foods. The authors emphasize that high-fat milk and other products made from it contain a lot of calories and harmful saturated fat.
However, the current study by British scientists shows that the consumption of dairy products should remain in the human diet, and scientists, if necessary, can reassess the potential metabolic benefits of dairy products. We should also remember that a number of studies have shown that these products contain many nutrients like calcium, potassium, magnesium, vitamins K1 and K2, and probiotics which are very necessary for our health.
The study authors stressed that while I can’t exactly answer the question about why dairy products give such protection from type II diabetes. In the future, scientists plan to study different varieties of dairy products in order to find out which ones are most useful, and whether the value in the protection from diabetes method of cooking these foods.
