The journal BMJ has shared data that recently became rapidly gaining popularity of cancer treatment in unconventional ways, offer so-called alternative medicine. The people addressing to it for healing, spend hundreds of thousands of dollars, but such treatment is only faster drives cancer patients to the grave, is stated in the publication edition.
According to the BMJ, alternative methods of cancer treatment are being actively promoted on the crowdfunding sites, helping to collect donations. From 2012 therefore the authors of these methods has collected more than $ 10 million, and interest to the developments, contrary to official medicine only continues to grow.
But these alternative ways of therapy of cancer experts of the magazine evaluated purely as a charlatan and a fraud. Scientists are convinced that alternative medicine directly harmful to people with cancer.

“The risk of death among the fans of non-traditional methods in five years increased by 5.7 times compared with patients treated in conventional hospitals,” the researchers reported.
According to them, cancer patients in recent times proposed treatment of peptide vaccines that include linseed oil, extracts of coffee, minerals and other substances that require rectal. People are not deterred from non-traditional methods of cancer therapy, even the fact that they cost almost three times more expensive than treatment in an ordinary clinic. The authors urged the creators of crowdfunding platforms to carefully review such kind of projects.
