Deadly diseases including plague, can start again to destroy humanity because of global warming. Frozen in glaciers deadly pathogens will be released.
Global warming poses for humanity is a danger not only because of rising water levels in the world’s oceans and flooding of coastal areas and entire island States. In the regions covered by permafrost, are kept in hibernation most dangerous bacteria that can cause numerous serious diseases, including plague. Already, permafrost is retreating and glaciers are melting, which threatens humanity with a new epidemic of the black death, as stated by Oxford University Professor Peter Frankopan.
Famous scientist and expert in climate change and stressed that the ice melting because of rising global temperatures will unleash biological agents, trapped for millennia, against which humanity has absolutely no vaccines. They could not appear, since these pathogens have not attacked our planet for centuries. Last week, the famous climate scientists warned that the world expects extreme weather and natural disasters, including droughts and floods, if the rise in global temperature will not be able to stop at the level of below 1.5 C.
Professor Frankopan said that this jump in temperature provoked the plague 1340-ies, which went down in history as the Black death. It was then that the average temperature on our planet has increased by 1.5 C, which was probably caused by solar flares or volcanic activity. All this has changed the life cycle of the bacteria Yersinia pestis, which caused a devastating disease that nearly destroyed all of humanity. (READ MORE)
