Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is used to fights in the wrestling ring, but the WWE champion has to use a different set of skills to mediate fights at home. In a new video, his youngest daughters Jasmine, 7, and Tiana “Tia” Gia, 5, get into a disagreement, and he helps diffuse the situation in the best way!

In a new video on Instagram, Johnson shows his “calming technique.” When the daughters bring him a Father’s Day breakfast (with Tia relatably asking him immediately, “Could you share some pancake with me?”), they get into a slight disagreement.
When Jasmine is explaining what they made him for breakfast, Tia leans over and grabs one of the handmade cards. This prompts Jasmine to say, “Whoa, whoa!” and grab her sister’s arm and take the card back. The Rock jumps in, staying calm and saying, “Hold on, hold on, no fighting!” with a laugh.

“She’s supposed to keep it on the plate,” Jasmine explained, exasperated in a way older sisters are all too familiar with. The Rock keeps his cool though. “It’s totally alright, we make up the rules.” The moment ends in a second, as Jasmine goes back to explaining everything on his plate, and I’m amazed. He sensed the fight was brewing, got in there calmly and quickly to diffuse the tensions without hurting anyone’s feelings, and moved on without any tears. It’s seriously impressive.

The Rock Is ‘Lucky’ to be a Dad

The Black Adam star explained that he’s always on “high alert” for any fights that may pop up between his youngest daughters, whom he shares with wife Lauren Hashian.
“My daddy senses are always on high alert ? as at any moment these two tornadoes can collide and fight ?,” he wrote. “They take no shit ????? My calming tactic is often saying to them ‘it’s ok we make up the rules’ ?♟️”
Staying calm and keeping the peace is a smart way to handle fights between the kids. It’s a cute reminder about being flexible, and it seemed to keep his daughters happy.
The Rock, who is also dad to 21-year-old Ava Raine with ex Dany Garcia, added, “These two tornadoes and my oldest daughter all made my Fathers Day. Lucky guy.#girldad #fathersday.”
