Behati Prinsloo is loving motherhood. She recently shared a rare personal photo of herself in full-on mom mode that we completely adore, saying she wouldn’t “change a single thing,” despite her struggle with postpartum depression.
The Victoria’s Secret model shares two daughters, Dusty and Gio, with Maroon 5 frontman and The Voice coach Adam Levine. Both girls appear in Prinsloo’s Instagram pic. It’s an uncommon glimpse into the private family’s life, and we are swooning over both the exuberant image and Prinsloo’s words:
In the pic, Prinsloo is wearing Gio, 17 months, in a front carrier while Dusty, 2, clad in a leopard-print-onesie, dangles in a laughing blur off her mother’s hip. Prinsloo’s Victoria’s Secret merch is nowhere in sight. Instead, Prinsloo is sporting a goofy hat, t-shirt and shorts, and flip-flops with socks — definite mom attire.
“Here’s to the sleepless nights, bleeding nipples, crying, laughing, the highest of highs and lowest of lows and everything in between, i won’t change a single thing, being mom to Dusty and Gio keeps me strong, motivated and empowered,” she captioned the pic. Prinsloo added, “This is my #sharestrong thanks @kateupton for starting this.”
Fellow model Upton started the Share Strong campaign on social media, encouraging followers and friends to “join the conversation and spread positivity by posting WHAT or WHO inspires you to be strong.”
Prinsloo shared another photo of the whole family in June for Father’s Day, captioning it to her husband, “HAPPY FATHER’S DAY. We love you so much, you always put your family first, me and the girls are so lucky to have you….”
Namibian native Prinsloo told Us Weekly in December that more babies are likely on the way — though not quite yet — for her and Levine. “I eventually want it,” she said. “I definitely would want to try for a boy, but if I have all girls, I’ll be happy. I definitely want these two to grow up a little more and experience the two of them together before I do another one, but I think there are more in the future for sure.”
We’re glad to hear it — motherhood looks divine on Prinsloo. (Especially that little leopard-print blur of giggles clinging to her middle. The sweetness.)
