Doctors recommend to drink whole milk and eat butter

Another study showed that dairy products are beneficial for health. A glass of milk, carton of yogurt and a cube of butter daily reduce the risk of heart disease, not increase them.

Canadian researchers from McMaster University found that eating three servings of dairy foods a day reduces the risk of heart disease. In the last few years, there has been a flood of information about the dangers of dairy products, which the authors stressed that whole milk and other foods with high levels of saturated fat affect the jump indicators of “bad” cholesterol in the blood. And this increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases. However, the researchers claim that consumed three servings of milk, cheese, butter and cream every day, people are almost two times less likely to have faced heart disease and strokes compared to those who lay off the milk.

That’s why doctors and nutritionists should encourage people to be more active to consume dairy products. Especially it should be done in poor countries, where the level of use of these products is very low. Even today, the official recommendation in the US say that people should not get more than three servings of dairy products a day, and they are advised to choose low-fat versions. The recommendations are based on studies that have shown the ability of saturated fats from fatty foods increase the cholesterol level.

The authors of these studies completely ignore the fact that the fat in milk contains calcium, potassium, magnesium, vitamins K1 and K2, and probiotics in yogurt, which is extremely important for human health. In this case, the benefits of milk outweigh risks, including the risk of heart disease. (READ MORE)
