A hug will help after any quarrel

Hugs actually help us feel better after a quarrel, the study showed. This is due to the fact that they produce a calming effect on the nerves.

Chenies American Carnegie Mellon University found that hugs are really able to improve a person’s mood after a quarrel. If we conclude of a man at arms or just squeeze in your hands his hands, this improves his mood, and the positive effect lasts into the next day. Watching approximately 400 people, the researchers found that past a hug with people with whom they strongly arguedlater rarely showed negative emotions. The assessment of these emotions was carried out in a few hours and even few days after the fighting. And this supports the results of other studies on this issue, which showed that sensual touch produces a calming effect on the nerves.

“Touching between people that do not have a sexual connotation, are an important part of adult social relationships, say the researchers. These touches can be defined as a separate species of conduct, for example, when we talk about the arms and shutting the hands, which are used for the transmission of their feelings and expressions of compassion. This is a very effective technique to quickly overcome the effects of psychological stress, for example caused by severe strife.”
