Every year an increasing number of people suffering from depression, getting a prescription for antidepressants. The issuance and sale of these drugs beat all historical records. However, the millions taking these pills people run the risk of serious side effects, if they ever want to abandon the use of antidepressants. A study by British scientists has shown that for many years the health authorities have suppressed the truth about how difficult it is to break after the failure of drugs designed to treat depression. Adopted a point of view that this withdrawal period lasts no more than weeks, and its symptoms can be called moderate.
However, a meta-analysis of a large number of existing information and case histories have shown that serious withdrawal symptoms after antidepressant treatment face 56% of the patients. Many people have such unpleasant symptoms as nausea, insomnia, anxiety attacks and agitation, and a significant number will have to ask doctors to put them back on antidepressants, because they will face relapse of depression. Unfortunately, a large number of people receiving prescriptions for antidepressants, don’t even know it.
The researchers found that 7 million people in England currently consume antidepressants, 4 million will face withdrawal when you try to complete the treatment. Nearly two million will have the most negative consequences of this withdrawal syndrome, and 25% or 1.7 million break-up will last for at least three months. (READ MORE)
