Brand HM second store which will open in Kiev on October 18, has developed a line of bras specifically to meet the needs of victims of breast cancer women. The capsule collection was inspired by an American employee of HM, which overcame the disease, but later could not find affordable, stylish and functional bras. One hundred percent of the profits will be donated to the American cancer society, for which the brand hopes to raise $ 125 000 to Fund research for breast cancer.
In the collection called Close to My Heart there are three models of bras in neutral tones that offer comfort without compromising design.
Women customers can choose either quick-drying sports bra or a bra with a soft Cup with lace or smooth fabric. Each of them created to meet the needs of survivors after breast cancer women who passed through a single or double mastectomy, which forced them to wear a breast prosthesis. Brand representative argues that the priority in creation of models, of course, was convenience and comfort:
Bras were developed in close cooperation with women who have had breast cancer, which they removed one or both Breasts. The difference between a regular bra and a bra for women with breast prostheses is that the second covers more of the chest and has pockets for a prosthesis. The pockets are made in the form of a grid for extra support dentures.
The collection, which is available in the online and offline shops around the world, is obliged to help the thousands of women who have had breast cancer.
Charity Breast Cancer Care UK in the first year after breast surgery recommends that women look for bras with soft seams, full cups, minimal detail and separation of the cups – all of this was observed in models of HM. The organization also offers to avoid bras with underwire during the recovery period to avoid discomfort.
Women recovering from surgery, also recommended to choose bras with a high cotton content, since they are softer to the skin and help regulate body temperature during the fever outbreaks.
HM said that revenue from the fee will help Fund cutting-edge breast cancer research in addition to supporting patients with breast cancer by providing access to medical examinations and follow-up care.
