The world knows Serena Williams for her 23 Grand Slam titles, of course, but more recently we’ve gotten the chance to know Serena a little better off the court, especially given all the content she shares with her three-year-old daughter Olympia (who also loves a skincare moment with her mom).
Like her sister Venus, Serena’s big on clean beauty products, and has even been known to grab product recs from her sis. But, she’s not exactly a skincare minimalist. She enjoys switching it up between a few different masks, eye creams, and serums to help her stay moisturised. Her routine is pretty involved, and um, expensive (there are some affordable gems in there, have no fear!).
Follow along with her in-depth routine and you may learn a few tricks—her eye cream hack (more below) is genius! Here are some of Serena’s favourite products that keep her skin glowing at all times.
Serena starts her morning off with this face lotion.
In an Instagram video, Serena posted her morning routine, which included Olympia joining in on the action. “We’re doing our morning routine. It’s just so fun because this little baby girl pretty much does everything I do,” she said.
Their fave product to start off with? Trilogy Balancing Face Lotion. After that, she smoothes on an eye serum and then an eye cream to seal it in.

She’s obsessed with coconut oil.
“I use coconut oil because it’s amazing. I use it for everything you can think of,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “Now this is gonna seem totally insane but I like literally slather it all over my face. So I take like a bunch of coconut oil and I like literally just like rub it like all on my face…this can literally be your only step if that’s all you want,” Serena said.
But she doesn’t stop there. Serena uses coconut oil for her lips, as a body oil, and even as a hair oil for hydration. And it’s another simple skincare practice Olympia loves to jump in on. “Olympia actually does the routine with me. And it’s safe for kids too, cause she can put it on her face,” said Serena.
She likes to change up her cleansing products.
Serena isn’t super loyal to any one product, especially when it comes to cleansers. She is a fan of this Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel, to gently exfoliate, according to Prevention. But when she uses it, it’s sparingly, to make sure she’s not stripping her skin of moisture. “I don’t exfoliate a lot. I usually exfoliate once a week,” she said.
Serena also likes to keep her hands super soft, so she’ll use the cleanser there also. “One small little tip that I do,” she said. “I actually exfoliate the back of my hands, because you gotta keep your hands looking fresh, too.”

Serena does have a go-to eye cream, MZ Skin Soothe & Smooth Collagen Activating Eye Complex, but she doesn’t just use it on her face. “Sometimes when I’m traveling I even put this on my face cause I feel like whatever you’re using under your eye is like super moisturising and it could work for the whole face,” she said in a video for Harper’s Bazaar. “That’s why I don’t have a lot left. It means I need to order some more.”

In true sister fashion, she borrowed Venus’ fave serum.
Though her medicine cabinet is filled with serums, one particular favourite of Serena’s is also one of Venus’ top beauty picks: Asutra Anti-Aging 2.5% Retinol Serum (it’s actually only $15 on Amazon). It’s an anti-aging yet moisturising serum, packed with jojoba oil and hyaluronic acid for adding extra moisture to the face.
“I love this brand,” she said. “Thanks Venus! I stole it from her.” It’s easy to see why both Williams sisters have such clear, glowing complexions.

Sooo her skincare routine technically costs *a lot*, but not everything will break the bank.
When Allure rounded up Serena’s collection of eye creams, masks, and moisturisers, it totalled about $973. Yeah. But, there were some absolutely affordable products in there too. For example, she spritzes on a Mario Badescu Facial Spray, with aloe, rosewater, and herbs both to set her makeup and to refresh her skin throughout the day. Luckily, it’s just $7 (you’re welcome).

At night, she alternates between LED and sheet masks.
Serena’s known for getting experimental with face masks, and she’s not afraid to test out some pretty high-tech ones either.
