In Russia allowed to import the unregistered medicines for the treatment of cancer

The government has removed the restriction of the importation from abroad of some unregistered drugs for cancer treatment – we are talking about biomedical cell products (BMCP). The order of importation approved by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

Permission to import unregistered in the Russian Federation of cellular products for clinical research and treatment of cancer patients is regulated by the governmental decree. The document is published on the official portal of normative legal acts.

Previously, the import of unregistered BMK in Russia was limited. Now allowed to bring three cellular product: audience, antropogenical (used for immunotherapy for cancer) and salecordarone (used in the treatment of lymphoblastic leukemia). When importing you need to specify the full name of the Federal hospital where undergoing treatment for a cancer patient, a copy of your passport or birth certificate of the patient and also to provide a conclusion of the medical Council on the appointment of a specific preparation.

To import BMKP will be possible with the permission of the Ministry of health manufacturer and owner, as well as universities, scientific and medical institutions. New import regulations will apply from 1 November to 30 April 2019.
