Jessie J Not Giving Up After Infertility Diagnosis: 'I Believe in Miracles'

Holding onto hope! Just because Jessie J was told she is infertile doesn’t mean that the singer is convinced she won’t conceive a child one day.

“I’ve always been someone that’s open and honest,” the Grammy nominee, 31, said on “Heart Breakfast” radio podcast on Monday, June 10. “Four, four-and-a-half, five years ago, I was diagnosed with this disease, which is making it harder. I was told I can’t have children, but I don’t believe it. I believe in miracles. I haven’t given up.”

The “Price Tag” singer added: “Over the last four years, I’ve changed my diet. I changed the way I live, I’ve done a lot of self-work. I am still in the process of it.”

Before performing “Four Letter Word” from her 2018 album, R.O.S.E.,at a London concert in November 2018, the musician told her fans that she was told she could never have children of her own.

“I wanted to write this song for myself in my moment of pain and sadness but also to give myself joy, to give other people something that they can listen to in the moment when it gets really hard,” she explained. “So if you’ve ever experienced anything with this or have seen somebody else go through it or have lost a child, then please know you’re not alone in your pain and I’m thinking of you when I sing this song.”

The London native went on to sing the emotional tune, including lyrics like, “Feels in my heart, we’ll meet one another / You’ll be my baby, I’ll be your mother.”

Her boyfriend, Channing Tatum, showed his support at the time with an Instagram post. “This woman just poured her heart out on stage at the Royal Albert Hall,” the actor, 39, wrote. “Whoever was there got to witness something special. Wow.”
