Specialists carried out an experiment involving students and pensioners who, under the supervision of scientists used to fall asleep in a room with air temperature at 17 degrees. It turned out that the process of falling asleep faster if people choose to put on the woolen pajamas. In particular, students in these pajamas sleep was 4 minutes faster in comparison with their peers in pajamas made of cotton or polyester. In elderly people, a similar difference was already 15 minutes in favor of men in woolen pajamas.

The observed effect, the researchers explain that woolen pajamas allows the human body to more quickly switch to the condition known as “thermal comfort zone” in which the relaxation is achieved in minimal time. Pajamas of wool, as were able to see the authors not only helped people fall asleep faster, but sleep did more quality – strong and deep.
